It is structured and centered around all components that build literacy comprehension and knowledge. It highlights the importance of the basic principles of literacy and its fundamental role in early childhood educational development and achievement. It is created to provide a framework of knowledge and understanding of how basic phonics and grammar can contribute towards reading comprehension and communication.
